That is sad indeed ðŸ˜
I've gotten attention from some girls in their early twenties in recent years, even late teens in one case. It's more annoying that I wasn't getting any attention when I WAS that age than anything else!

I wish I was still a guru. Or whatever the post count used to class us as. Change it back. Who made you change it anyway? It was kitty Kat. With all the music. Not that I see that unless on the desktop. Alumni.

You're thinking of the old site! The user groups display below the names here by default, but you can change it via profile settings to display post count level instead.
(edited so that everyone knows that's an option!)

Best thing ever ... when you discover that your shower head has different options and you find one that gives you the best scalp massage in your life. I've had absolutely no flakes since starting to use it when washing.

Jeeze, nearly at 9 years from leaving my hair to 'lock up. No way did I think I'd have them this long and that start seems like last year to me. I keep forgetting they were down to my waist since trimming them. I miss that novelty but all I could do was tie them back. They are more alive now.

And I can't wait for mine to get longer! I suppose when I get to that length, I'll probably find it annoying and trim. Lol.

If you have a round forehead they will probably hang well. My forehead is flat so they just closed like curtains in front of my face whenever I had them down. And you have lots of dreads whereas I only have 27ish. But because most had congoed removing a foot or two of the double ends made them look thicker so I'll enjoy them growing like that. Also you start to feel more dreadlocks than flesh. The old lengths I cut off wire like tight cables. Now they are soft and light.

I just saw on FB that Phoebe shaved her head. Made me sad for a moment as they were a favourite set of mine but she also looks stunning with cropped locks, I don't think I'd be brave enough to cut that close! A full reset would be nice, though.

My client asked me tonight "where do you get your braids put in?" And I explained that they were dreadlocks ... client response: "holy shit that's your hair?"

Ha! That's fantastic . The best one we've had so far is one day eating out,an older african american lady, when she realized my little girl was dreading. She was like "oh! I bet they are doing dreads. I just thought she had nappy hair. She's really beautiful. " slightly insulting at first but kinda sweet at the same time 😊

Maintenance at work asked to touch my hair. I guess this whole time he didn't think it was my actual hair lol. Like I was wearing a wig the last two years?

It is amazing how often people think that. The one I use to get the most was asking how long it took me to do that to my hair every day 🤔
Re-bleaching today. My hair has grown out by an inch or so since my last trim so my little blonde tips look like they need extending a bit. I look like I just leaned a bit too close over a jar of peanut butter, right now. ;p

I'm just in that incredibly frustrating stage where I'm waiting for my hair to grow out to be able to start my dreads. I'm right at about 3-5 inches(depending on which part) which is the longest my hair has ever been. But I do have a pretty sweet hockey mullet going right now!
I had a personal awakening of sorts. Dreads is something I've always wanted and it's a promise to myself of being the new me after being in denial all my life.

I had forgot how long twist and rip takes.
I had a couole of t&r and backcombed ones in my last set but it was mostly neglect. I thought this time around I'd be a bit more conscious about it. I'm tempted to just t&r an inch or two of the roots for the rest of it nd let the length do what it wants.
