Push ups are soooo goood. Plank variations might be a good middle step to help ya get off your knees. Been doing 'em to help strengthen my back and shoulders.

my physical practice is centered around yoga and primal movements. all body weight things. I had a really good session the other night with a flow around rolling in and out of shoulder stand with variations of legs shifting side to side. kinda hard to explain but I sure felt the core work the next day

My wife does yoga and says, I'd love it. I do tai chi and kung fu. I similarly understand and continue to learn about body weight, centering, balancing, movement, etc. It's limitless really. Sessions as you describe can be, for lack of better terms, a spiritual experience to me at times.

I hoop and belly dance every day, and make sure to hoop with my big weighted hoop as well. I also do a daily butt workout that breaks to five sessions, each 5 days long. Session 1: Day 1 30 sec cardio burst/routine A Day 2 30/s cardio/routine B/30sec cardio/routine A And so on for 5 days so on day 5 you are doing 5 30sec cardio, and 5 routines. Then on day six you start session two so you start at one cardio and one routine again, for 5 sessions.

BrokenJetSki, That hoop stuff IS tough. I consider myself pretty coordinated, but definitely not coordinated enough to keep a hoop going for too long.

Hooping on your waist burns over 400 calories an hour and is the equivalent to an intense cardio workout, without all the added joint strain. I have a hormonal disorder that makes it super difficult to lose weight but in the few months I've been hooping regularly, I've dropped 15 lbs and still continue to lose. I also spin bow staff and do poi so I am ALWAYS exercising.

OMG! I decided to do level 2 of the shred. That was tough, really feeling it in my arm and stomach. I'm going to stick with it I really should get my hoop out! I really want to spin poi but I'm very uncoordinated

another question, what is "spin poi"? Poi is a type of flow prop. Usually balls or socks spun to create different geometrical patterns. It's like hooping if you replace the hoops with small balls on rope.

Way to keep your eye on those improvements!
I've been cramp free since supplementing my calcium and magnesium intake and taking an extra 10 minutes warming up...so I'm up to a 20 minute warm up now...hehe. I wish I didn't have to take so long but it's really helping. I'm not young and spry like I once was so this is becoming a more important reality to me as time passes.

I slow jogged 3km non stop today on the elliptical and intense powerwalked on a 20min hill workout on the treadmill. Came out with minimal pain! I'm a little purrroud considering last year powerwalking for more than 10mins would leave me with internal tears and at least2 days of recovery. like even breathing hurt my spine

Yup. 2 slipped disks. I'm a lot better than last year in some ways but also a lot worse haha. Really hoping to be able to skate again, run 3km nonstop and do MMA by next year
