I thought since my dreads have reached the six month mark, and also since I have hard water(I don't want to get build up), it would be good to try an apple cider vinegar rinse. Would you guys recommend it?

Yes, I would. It's a good deep clean and it's good for your scalp. 😊

ACV is great for your hair and scalp, it balances the pH and smooths the cuticle, reducing static and friedness. So it's wonderfully conditioning without leaving slick crap--but since your dreads are so young definitely only use it once in a while until they're better locked in or you might find the conditioning effect to be counter-productive

You know, I've never done one. I'll make that a goal some time this year just to try it out.

Never done one either. Never felt a need to tbh. I think I got so used to not conditioning my hair that it's rare I do anything after shampooing other than rinse with water, though I do the occasional coconut oil wrap while I'm soaking in the bath now, so I might give it a try too. Maybe for their six year anniversary. They're probably mature enough they won't fall out

Hey guys soz for posting this here, duno where else to ask about rinses but I was wondering about flat beer? Don't like throwing leftovers down the drain...I member it was awesome as a rinse for shine with straight hair.
Any thoughts?

I used to have a favourite body shop shampoo that had beer in it, so go for it! Waste not want not

Did it! Hair still drying but feels very soft and...squeaky? Lol!
Smell is deteriorating as it dries.
Will most def do this every 3rd wash or so.
Acv's smell bugs me a tad more must say...

What if you have been using avc prior to starting your dreads? Still not a good idea for baby's? I've been doing the "baking soda and avc" rinse for a few months..
