I've been re-watching series 3 of The League of Gentlemen, this week. It got a lot of shit at the time of it's release (14 years ago, now!!) and I think it is flawed, but that it has a lot of heart. People just wanted a sketch show, I guess, rather than something more experimental... watching it after having seen Inside No 9 certainly primes you for their different approach to storytelling from the norm.

I've been watching Electric Dreams too. It's pretty good ^^
I was also convinced to give Outlander another chance.. It grew on me, but definitely not *that* engrossing

I'm watching release the hounds at this very moment. Oh my goodness it's kinda funny to watch but I would be terrified to go on it I think. Like laughing at your friends in a haunted house and then running head first into a wall myself a moment later. Maybe I'm just getting old 😊

Ep 3 of Red Dwarf XII might legitimately be my least favourite episode ever. Awful.

I've been getting my scare on over the last week or so. I just got my folks password to Amazon and have found tons of movies, series and documentaries which should help bring the spooky October vibe home.
'Nightmare World of HG Wells' is a 4 part series based on the short stories of Wells. 'The Purple Pileus' was my favorite.
'Lore' is a 6 part documentary about the origins of folklore. Vampires, werewolves, creepy dolls and changelings just to name a few.
'The Living and The Dead' 1st season.
5 animated stories from the brilliant works of Edgar Allan Poe called 'Extraordinary Tales'

White God Randomly picked it - it's Hungarian, used 200 dogs in its production, and all the effects are real Not sure if it's just because it was animals, but it hit deep in the feels. Think Lady and the tramp crossed with Stephen king's 'The Birds'. At some points I felt genuinely sick and other times at the point of crying. gostream.is/film/white-god-3555/watching.html?ep=775357

Anyone watched Stranger Things 2 yet? I don’t seem to have the ability to turn off my creative drive and watch a bit of telly lately

Just waiting for the last ep of Red Dwarf XII to pop up online. After that shite episode in the middle, the last two have been really good.... last week's ep (the one that aired on TV tonight) in particular was fantastic.

So I’ve still not watched the last two series of Red Dwarf and don’t know what Stranger things is. Watching a box set of the first Blue Planet until I can get to watch the new Series. Just Watched Guardians of the Galaxy 2.

Stranger Things is a love letter to 80's horror/coming-of-age movies. I think you'd like it a lot.

Did you ever watch through Breaking Bad btw? I remember you saying you'd gotten the first couple of series downloaded or something.

Only got hold of the first series... then probably lost interest now. I really liked American Gods... until it finished, then I thought ‘well that was pointless and without any depth. ‘ So many things could be brilliant but are dumbed down to be ‘cool’ and keep audiences wanting more, rather than saying anything of meaning or having characters you can relate to or care about.
