I still have managed to avoid knowing anything about Game Of Thrones. Other than it's got dragons in it and everybody dies and/ or gets naked. I've been watching 2hr long episodes of the Scottish Detective drama Taggart starting from the 1990's. I always used to hate it, but it's actually quite involving.

Do you remember Boon? My parents used to be big fans of that.

No I don't recall that. What I noticed binge watching Taggart, is that two of the main C.I.D. detective actors in the later '90's and 2000's series, actually played criminal suspects in early 1990's episodes. One of them twice. once as a youth car thief, and a stableboy in another episode. The other actor as a Murder suspect at a Highland Tourist area playing a barman. It's a short journey from criminal interrogation to head detective. I guess there are only so many Scottish actors for a program spanning nearly 30 years. I watched nearly all decent British detective dramas recently. Er...,Taggart, Rebus, The Vice, Messiah, George Gently, Vera, Morse, Lewis, Endeavour, A Touch of Frost, Dalziel and Pascoe, McCallum, Prime Suspect, Shetland, The Inspector Lynley Mysteries. They're the ones I think I've watched all of lately. I'm sure theres another Series i watched all of, I forgotten off the top of my head.

Finally watched Avengers: Age of Ultron. It was alright.... to be honest I'd kind of left the MCU behind in terms of interest but, I gotta admit, I'm catching up as I wanna see Spidey in the Civil War!

Although to be fair that looked bad even in the trailer, the It trailer looks pretty decent

This documentary on Ginger Baker (drummer from Cream, Blind Faith and many more bands) was fantastic. That dude was completely brilliant and terrifically mad

Has anyone seen the new It yet? I can't bring myself to watch it. It looks terrifying!

I haven't seen it yet but my friends have. Most of what I've seen is positive, the worst being that it wasn't as scary as the original.

I watched all the episodes of Luther. It really is a good troubled detective/ deranged criminal script, and so important to watch from start to finish to understand the character.

I've not watched a lot of tv lately apart from Game of Thrones and The Handmaid's Tale. I mostly end up watching reruns of David Attenborough's nature programmes late at night as a way to wind down. Sometimes I wonder why we even have Sky as there's not much we end up watching on it. If streaming services weren't ruled out because of our lack of bandwidth (the sodding village a mile down the road had high speed internet put in finally, but they're not extending it further out to the surrounding farms), then we'd have ditched it by now.

I'm a bit wary of Stephen King movies after the pile of shite Dark Tower turned out to be 😠I've heard nothing but good reviews from friends who have seen It. So, I'm hopeful. (But I hadn't heard that it was less frightening than the first. boo.) I started watching Roswell again (tv show from the early 00s). We cut the cable a few months back, so I'm enjoying old favorites on hulu. Currently, we're watching Jack and the Cuckoo Clock Heart. Such a messed up kid's film, but my twisted little ones love it as much as I do. I'm planning to get the book it was based on, I'd love to see how it read before they changed things for the film.
