Hi! Just wondering if anyone paints, weaves, throws pottery, does woodworking, etc.
I'm an art teacher and I paint, weave baskets, knit and spin yarn, am a bookbinder / journal maker, do jewelry and love more obscure arts like naalbinding, flint knapping, and such. I am also a TERRIBLE potter.
So, whatcha working on? Could you share a picture? What would you like to learn? Thanks for sharing!!

does fabric painting count? hehe Cuz I just posted a link with that! -in "your style" (actually, I might be able to find one better....) um, I dabble in painting, mostly landscapes and trees type things. Actually, I have an unfinished painting...obviously, I don't do very much. (Bob Ross is awesome! ) Knit, crochet, sewing. (I think most of us have shared things in the "what are you working on" thread.) I think I told you, I think weaving is awesome. I think pottery is awesome. Maybe one day I will learn...not today though.

So cool! Just curious: how does a tattoo apprenticeship work? You assemble a portfolio, and then....do you have a specific mentor? How do you transition to working on skin?

Both really cool. I've been working as an illustrator for around five years. I'm currently trying my hand at animation, but here's my most recent piece (one for fans of the TV show 'Hannibal'!):

Well the apprenticeship lasts usually around 2 years so they teach you everything and they have like this practice fake skin you practice on at first then I think after the first year you start tattooing on people

I'm gonna throw in an "ugly" one...because it's about time I poke fun at myself! Definitely don't do this for money, Twistroot. (this was the best I could do at simplifying my description guys. I am definitely not a person of few words so this was hard!)

I used to do so many crafts, but more recently I find I just don't have the time anymore. So I stick to my plants and cosmetics and pets. You are all making me jealous especially the potters, I miss having a kiln nearby.

Gillian those are lovely!
I don't have an Etsy shop yet.... well I do but it's never been stocked with anything. I'm trying to get through a commission for some Medieval style pottery at the moment so that's taking up most of my free potting time.
