It's a visualisation stage for TV/movies before it gets filmed, basically looks like a comic but only the director etc see it. It's not like finished artwork though, they're usually like tidy sketches. I think I could enjoy it but anything else I look to take on alongside the comics will purely be about making money. I'm happy with 2000AD's rates (as with all comics, you get paid by the page) but - for how long it takes - it's quite a bit below the minimum wage here. That’s what I thought it was but didn’t like to assume anything. It’s a shame that artists aren’t compensated in the way that they should be...

I bet he can catch them all. What cosy things are you to do with your free time? Candlelit cat surrounded bath? Empty the poops from the kitty litter? Relax to movies? What’s a Danzia day?

Do think everybody has left DT because of the way we use the Internet now? We used to be a global bunch that would be sat in front of a desktop for an evening all hanging out in these rooms. But now everybody uses their phones and just checks in to things for a few minutes it’s all changed. And of course Facebook, Twitter etc. It is amazing how quiet the site has become. I suppose it was good it kept so busy here for so long after the way people used the internet changed.

I’m not sure James. It could be... but isn’t it just as easy, if not easier, to be active here via mobile instead of desktop? I can only speak for myself, but I’m not as active as I once was because I’m always working now. I miss DT in the more active days loads.

Say I'm inspired to write something today... I'll want to share it with ALL of my friends, not just those I share a hairstyle with, as I'll get a more varied range of response. Sometimes I'll post something there and then copy it here but by the time any of you see it here, you've already seen it on Facebook and so there's no real reason to reply. As Ri and others have told me, it's just more convenient for people to have everything (and everyone) in one place.
To be honest, though, I don't really think it's accurate to say "everyone has left DreadlockTruth" because we're all still friends and can interact with each other on a daily basis. It's more like "DreadlockTruth" was our local pub that we all loved because it was cosy and intimate but now we've moved to the big corporate chain that has roomier tables so you can fit more of your mates in, even if you have to contend with the odd screaming toddler and drunken brawl. And we don't see each other as much because you spend the time walking the room and catching up with other people.
But we're all still there, and that's what matters.

Most of the comments etc go in the Facebook groups now but here's the thread on the 2000AD forum if anyone wants to keep up with what readers think of my strip... forums.2000ad.com/index.php?topic=45129.0(subscribers start getting their copies from today)

Paul? Would you be interested in starting a new forum with DT just as an element, a room within it? Like the rest of the sight covering arts, craft, life, philosophy etc. A place for everyone to still belong. I thought about it then realised I couldn’t be bothered as nobody would join in. And that’s basically the the guts of the engine. The people. But still a bit of me me imagines folk might. As I like to not be in this Facebook monopoly and miss the way good folk came together like magnets here.

I don't have the time! Nor the interest, to be honest. Self-employment without an agent takes up all of it, now that advertising etc isn't being handled for me.

I know. I don’t care either. We made some good friends, so I’m just missing that. This is the end. I probably won’t post here anymore. It’s only a few of us still lurking. And we know each other outside of here. I’m just daydreaming of what once was.

Once again I found myself at a doctors surgery and the nurse looking at my notes asks, “ it says you are vegetarian, nearly vegan, what on earth do you eat?” And instead of looking confused and asking what the heck they eat to ask such a thing, I explain that you can make big Sunday dinners without meat, describe making your own pasta, sauces, Indian, chilli, stuffed veggies, cheese sauces on veggies, interesting salads, stir fries, home made soups and so on etc. And then I wonder what on Earth I’m doing saying this stuff. I should ask what they eat. “ you eat a pigs leg?, oh shut up be serious, what the fuck do you really eat.?” I read recently in the news. Apparently doctors and nurses are taught nothing on nutrition. Yet so many illnesses are caused by it lack. I’m not healthy, I eat far too many carbs and fats, so I’m not preaching. I just wonder what planet I and those that ask me what someone who does not eat meat lives on.
