Aye we had a terrible flu go around the house over Christmas. Hope your fella recovers soon!
I'm going to be in the Judge Dredd Megazine which is released tomorrow, to some extent. This is the interview I gave back in January. I wouldn't ask anyone to buy it as it's about £7 per issue and it is (I think) just an interview, no artwork, but I'm looking forward to going and grabbing a copy from WH Smiths!
And for those keeping track, the comic I drew will be on the shelves in exactly three weeks and one day. Eep.

That is so exciting Paul! I want an autographed copy please!!! I will of course reimburse you for the cost of the magazine.
Fad got booked to do a mini tour in April! So excited. We’re doing Norfolk Virginia and Asheville North Carolina again. Hopefully will also add Baltimore and/or Richmond as well. We’re just about done writing our new record and have 8 new songs.

That's an awesome design. Totally what I'd wear normally. Will they be available online?

We’re actually in the middle of a nor’easter here. It was 60 F yesterday. Today it’s snowing!

It's been pretty bad here. I'm so lucky the con was last weekend otherwise it probably would have been cancelled. I had one friend due to fly back to America and she was stuck on the runway for 6 hours before the flight was cancelled, then she had to get a ferry to Brussels to catch a flight from there! I don't think I've ever seen snow like it, to be honest. Not necessarily in terms of it being deep (probably 2-3 inches here?) but combined with the storm yesterday it was crazy. Looked like there was a massive ghost swooping around all over the place! I enjoyed having a wonder up to the castle and looking out over snowy Stafford from the high point, though.

My parents flew out to Florida on Monday, right before everything kicked off. The schools here have been closed since Wednesday, and we've mainly been staying in keeping warm, though I did wander up the track yesterday to see what the fields were like up top, and it was blowing a gale.
Not so much snow today, but it's been cold.

My sister posted a "proof of heaven" article on Facebook and I may have asked her if she thinks I'm going to hell..... :X

It’s been terrible here. It took me 2 and a half hours to get home from work yesterday. I live 4 miles from work. That storm just caused havoc here.

Sounds awful, I’m lucky that my commute is from my bed to my desk lol. It was nice to get out for a relaxing walk today, though, as my previous attempts to leave the house in the snow were more an endurance. Has it calmed down now, Gillian? (And yes I’d love a shirt!)
You know, I wonder if I might be being a bit delusional about the reality of drawing comics full time (because of how bad the pay is compared to other genres of Illustration). A couple of pros I follow who already have “made it” still have day jobs. So I’m looking at getting into storyboarding as that’s, apparently, a field that is attracting a lot of comic artists and there’s obviously a lot of common ground between the skill sets. We’ll see.

There’s still a lot of people without power and road closures due to fallen trees. Much better than it was though, and thankfully we did not lose power.
I will put aside a shirt for you! Mum is over in May so I’ll have her post it to you when she’s back in the U.K.
What is storyboarding exactly? I think I have an idea but don’t want to assume. Do you think you’d enjoy it?

It's a visualisation stage for TV/movies before it gets filmed, basically looks like a comic but only the director etc see it. It's not like finished artwork though, they're usually like tidy sketches.
I think I could enjoy it but anything else I look to take on alongside the comics will purely be about making money. I'm happy with 2000AD's rates (as with all comics, you get paid by the page) but - for how long it takes - it's quite a bit below the minimum wage here.
