I used bleach... my roots are naturally dark brown (they're dyed black in that last pic but I haven't dyed the roots in years). I used 'Jerome Russell's BBlonde'.

What method did u use to dread macabre? They just look different like there pressed together.. Hard to explain. I know my neglect sections there held in by the hair all twisted where my backcombed n t n r are massive knots

for me it looks like backcombing & crochet hook with loose ends, definitely not twist&rip, but I can be wrong

Here is what my natural sections are looking like compaired to my backcombed lol. The neglect is the biggest one also they seem to form on the smaller spectrum.

Well I used backcombing but you have to remember that my hair was only 3-4 inches when I started.... so most of what you see in that pic (basically everything that isn't blonde) is what's grown out of my head, rather than anything I put in myself.
No crochet hook used.

lol yeah, no loops for me. I do like the gnarled look of dreads that had crazy loops, though.

I think this is the earliest pic I have of this set of dreads..... before I'd found DT and so, yes, those are (shock, horror) rubber bands! I think they might be weeks old in this.

LOl my wife has that "gnarled look" she doesnt like the loops i told her if she wanted to even it out to wrap them up or just leave it and what grows out wont be loopy.

well, many people use rubber bands, though they can be detrimental to hair
anyway, they grew out greatly, starting with shorter length, no matter which way, often gives good results when they become long and mature

u know what i dont care what people say. my wife left those "harmfull rubber bands" in for 1 month and all her dreads stayed i followed the DT rule no wax or rubber bands and removed 3 days after lost almost all my dreads.
