No, company I've had would say that. Shotgun. It is American but I see it used. My mates always jumped in with that for a road trip.

Bagsy is far more common though, surely? Heard that all the time growing up.

Not slang, but native Trinidadians pronounce "bag" as if it rhymes with "vague".
Bayg.
Bayg.
Seriously... Bayg?

N.U. , that kindof...oh actually, that is a perfect segue for this. (this is a little revealing, because I KINDOF talk like this. Not quite, but well it's kindof common around here, although I'm not from Michigan.) ok, here. This just made me laugh so hard though because I spent years trying to correct some of these habits...because "they" are stupid! hahaha

God- botherer, > religious nut at your doorstep with leaflets/ flyers. Here we would commonly hear "bible thumper" "holy roller" etc.

lol that accent sounds familiar @vacantalleyways, I must have seen a few characters with it in American TV shows. I didn't find it difficult to understand, but the word "cottage" took a few attempts before I got it!

gingerdreadman, definitely use shotgun! Omgsh like yes! Being the oldest a lot of the times gorowing up, well, it annoyed me at first, then I started pulling the "oldest gets shotgun" card Oh, right. Because it was whoever yelled SG first, got to sit up front, if that part wasnt clear.
