Um, what can I say about this one? Just something about it being one of my first memories (early school years or even earlier). Never really got the meaning of the song entirely, but it was the first time I heard about England! (had listened to Bangles maybe last year, but just today recalled this again. )

This takes me back to my early twenties and I dated a guy for 2 months who then moved to Canada I don't want to double post BUT...this is the thing I was referring to (Alice in Chains, well, no I think someone had a photo too. either way, this song came to mind last night...not to be confused with NIN "down in it" or something. now I forget. maaaany years ago!)

ok, but seriously (last multipost today)...has ANYBODY heard this band or even know this song, for instance???
oh my gosh! that quickly took me to this one. (Trust Company-The Lonely Position of Neutral) I did not know there was this alternate version for this song. As if I couldn't love it any more! ugh! and on the topic of going back in time, there's only one person who shared this passion for this record, or talked about it...a stranger I only knew for a few months?? hell, I'm already forgetting. Wow!

Summer, 1996. I'm 15, we recently moved to Nottingham and I wasn't enrolled in school having got used to not going after being kicked out of the 2nd one. I got a job learning panel beating and paint spraying. We had the radio on all day and I remember the first time I heard this I was just rinsing down a car after flatting the paint. I'll always associate this song with a baking hot day, cellulose paint dust and the hosepipe.

I don't much like Placebo, but I like the first album as it got played a lot when my friends were getting their first girlfriends/ boyfriends and I got nobody. A theme that was to continue. Lol. But I don't like the other albums much, an occasional track is ok but this album is pretty solid in its static place in time in the 90's. Just had its own feel.

This is my favourite Placebo track. I'm the same in that I don't really like them, just the odd song.... always liked Brian on Nevermind The Buzzcocks in the 90s, though.

Haha it was 'Taste In men'.
I know a lot of music videos are unavailable on mobile so that's probably why.
I hadn't heard either of the ones you posted, btw, nice tracks.

Same era. This song made me find Scottish women attractive. To confused looks.

Garbage was in the line-up for the first real (my own choosing) concert I went to. Also was Cake...this show was later though.
My first memory of the following video was in jr. high art class. Omgsh, it's coming back!!! I drew the dopest "banana" car (haha idk, like something from my imagination. I can't draw cars really).
Then my friend wrote on there "he's going the distance". And maybe I learned, or re-learned about that song...and got the album. (think I...gave that to "someone" too ^^) Anyway, definitely a strong memory to this one!

Ive never actually listened to Ben Folds Five but he was on one of my favourite podcasts recently so I was just listening to that conversation the other day, he seems like a cool dude.
