My dreads are 3 weeks old today (except the 2 blond ones they are 2.5 years old now) I used the twist and rip method (done by a family friend who is a professional. I use Dolly locks tightening spray, paul Mitchells tea tea shampoo, and for special things i make em look neater or more professional i will use lock peppa instead of some kind of wax or gels. Anywho drop some comments let me know your methods and or products you use especially in the baby stages. Much Love.

A lot of people here don't really use much in terms of products, to be honest! The approach is more along the lines of "start them off and then forget about your hair for a year" as it can be difficult to make your hair do anything other than what it wants to do during the locking stage.
If you do need to make them look neater then aloe vera gel is helpful and it washes out really easily.
