Hope this hasn't already started, if so move it. But I know a lot of us are somewhere along the drinking scale, as it was good on the old forum. So I have these, between 4-6% and picked because tasty rather than the usually rubbish I'd drink to escape.

I enjoyed what I had of that rum mead (20%) yesterday. Besides that, JD Honey is the only real thing I drink at home, a few glasses once a month or so.

Yeah, it was even worse when I used to watch Mad Men each night because they were constantly drinking whiskey on the show and it made me drink along!

I haven't tried the mint mead or spiced mead I got in Sheffield with Paul yet. I don't want to ruin it for myself. When I was pregnant I really went off honey, even the smell made me sick and my aversion still hasn't gone away. I hope it was nice, Paul

It was. I've only had a bit of it though. I forgot how strong it was and poured a whole glass then had to put half of it back in ha.

I love the Victory Ale, also a fan of Devil's Backbone that's sold in Wetherspoons. We've got a bottle of Talisker that we had for Christmas and a bottle of Glen Parker that was a wedding present.

I'm having to lay off the booze as I was sending myself mad and the amount of cans I threw out looked like a party of 30 had been in my flat forever. Keep posting quality. The above is great examples. Great whiskey, nice beer. Mmmm beer. No shut up brain, have your lemon tea you maniac!

James, aren't you supposed to be not drinking, mate? I thought that's what the docs told you before Christmas

It's quite rare that I drink, cause I don't like the taste of alchohol. I usually just drink whatever others give me. I often drink vodka and stuff I think, blended with some soda og energy drink.

I generally don't like the taste either. I can honestly say I'd probably never drink alcohol at all if it wasn't socially expected of us.
Saying that, the rum mead was nice. ;p

I think I stopped drinking properly about 4 years ago. Living in London really puts you off it when it's ridiculously expensive and shoddy quality. Seriously, Londoners wouldn't know a decent ale if it bit them on the backside. Then cut it out when we were trying for Beeb and now I definitely can't because I'm breastfeeding.
Actually, I can have a couple but recently I've not even been able to finish a bottle of ale before putting the kettle on instead.
I'll probably drink that mead in a couple of years! We got given so much champagne when Beeb was born (also because we got married days after) and it was like, "why? I can't drink this, I'm breastfeeding! "
People...
