I usually stand like this until my arm drops off and crawls away.

Ummm... I'd feel self conscious. Teen me likes them. Practical adult me says get some tough kicking boots, you can't do the gardening in them.

I had a pair when I was in my early twenties that I was too self-conscious to wear. But I've been feeling the need to feed my inner metalhead/goth of late (especially since I realised that I look NOTHING like the kind of style I find attractive in women) and I have more self-confidence now so I think I could do it. I also saw loooooads at Download (though exactly why you'd wear them in those muddy conditions, I don't know). I can already hear danzia telling me to get them

If you hang around goth places like the Crow cool. If you are a practical monkey your kicking running boots are sexy enough. You've got style. I got rid of my long black leather coat to the ankles and feel so much is show. But if you like role play then it's good. I like odd practical stuff, the low end being German army boots or Doc Martens. That become like gloves. I think you have your own artistic see what you like style. But I know you have other sides. Silly boots look silly.

I think people who see you might buy boots like that because they thought that cool guy does, but you have some smooth hiking boots to jump from rooftops and run over hills and as you rock and they shine their shoes.

Nah, honestly I'm not really going to buy another pair (too much hassle that far above your ankles), I just thought I'd see what you guys'd say haha.

haha! always entertaining! Seriously, I've wanted something like those for a long time. (exactly-teen me) Unfortunately, I never got them. Didn't want to fight hard enough with my folks for them. Wasted money on cheap crap that ended up getting thrown out anyways. Now that I'm independent and can afford them well, i spend good money with my safe tennis shoes (for jeans days)...and for those rare occassions, when I needed something dressy that is also comfortable and useful, well i have to go with a more sleek boot. *siiigh but i DO really like MY boots!
