I have some lavender and tea tree essential oils and some ACV, so I thought i'd try adding them together into a spray bottle and spraying it on my dreads before washing to make them smell nice and to combat any mold or residue or anything like that. Would that be a good idea? I have no idea how much ACV or essential oils to add, my dreads aren't very tight so I don't want to moisturize them too much. Does anyone have any tips? Thank you!

Do you use shampoo to wash? I think people typically use acv after they shampoo as a conditioning rinse... it's also great for those who have sensitive or dry scalps. I usually do a rinse after I shampoo. 1 part acv to 3 parts water. I used to add essential oils but don't bother anymore. But I would add about 10 drops lavender, 3-5 drops tea tree and 8-10 rosemary. I use a 20oz bottle. Hope this helps!

My recipe is slightly different and should be used as a conditioning rinse.
1:1 ACV lemon essential oil Vanilla co2 extract oil (there is no such thing as vanilla essential oil, please be careful when buying vanilla as most is either fake or may contain toxic solvents)
Some times I will replace the lemon with cheer up blend by Now.
Always shake first then spray.
