Hello all! I had an account on the old site but I didn't know about the move. I was QuirkyDragon65 (I think) on there! But allow me to reintroduce myself, I'm Tomah!
I'm a non-binary blue-haired Women's Studies and Japanese double major who is currently studying abroad in Japan!
-- Edit 1:
So as impulsive as I am, I decided to forget everything I said previously, and just yesterday I TnR'd some baby dreads! Here are my photos!
Edit 2 -- I forgot to mention I currently am growing out an undercut. Will be interesting to see how that turns out!
Edit 3 -- I decided to comb out my dreads and start over with better sectioning. I'll update in a week or so when I redo my dreads again ^^

Hey guys. So, I really hate the one side of my head where my scalp is super exposed. I took apart a few dreads earlier to combine them because the small ones were driving me up a wall, one to fix a root. But, theres a section of hair where my scalp is exposed in a long line, you can see where above.
I need advice: do I resection while I still have babies, or will it cover itself over time? If its a time issue, then thats fine, I'll just wear my beanie or a headband out. But if it won't be covered and I'd have lovely dreads but with crazy scalp exposure, I'd rather fix the problem now, and redo all of my dreads if need be.
Advice?

Im also growing out an undercut. I now have one side of the head really short and the other side is medium long. That is due to shrinkage so its not certain the same thing will happen to you. My "dreads" are soon to be 4 months and are changing every day. But yes, keep us (and me) informed it also happens I have that bald spot in the back of my head as well.. I have always had it. Its the way my hair naturally lay, so I just dont bother with it.

I know this is kinda late but thought i would respond anyway. I also had one spot where you could see a line of a part. It drove me crazy but I let it be for 4 months I think before I decided it wasn't going away. I ended up undoing three or four around it and just resectioning those. It took forever but i realised the line was there because i had pulled my hair away from its natural part. So I redid those and the crazy line is gone. Im very happy I redid it. It may not be the same problem for you or maybe it would have fixed itself. I dont know. But im much happier with it now.
