So, I'm desperately trying to find a replacement for our expensive satellite service, and was wondering if anyone has recommendations (USA). I've looked into a bunch of the monthly pay streaming options, but many don't have the channels I want (sling, prime, hulu, etc). There aren't a whole lot of channels I watch, but they're not usually in the common packages.
Has anyone had experience with Muvi Box or Main Brain TV box? You buy the device, and supposedly are able to stream everything from TV series to movies, in existence with no additional charges. None of my RL acquaintances have used either, so I'm hoping some of you have.
Thank you!

I've not had a tv or wi fi for over 2-3 years. Believe me. You go crazy. But. I do find things to watch via my cellular network. But you got it good.

Yeah, I should look into this as well. Damn thing is almost a car payment. I found savings in ditching my old DSL for a newer DSL same company too, just gotta call 'em on advertised shit they won't do it for ya I'm getting better download speeds too, go figure. I also changed my land line to a 200 mins plan. We never use that thing for calling out, but we do use it on the rare occasion where we have to fax. Changing both, saves me about $100 a month!!!

My goal is to get rid of the dish before summer. I've tried getting a different internet provider, since ours is twice the cost and half the speed of our old one. We didn't even think to look into provider options before we bought our house in the middle of the country, and there are no comparable options for the speed/price we have.

I've heard jailbroken fire sticks are the biz but I've not used them.
I just use Netflix and Amazon Prime, to be honest. Most of the new shows I watch (American Gods, Better Call Saul, The Man In The High Castle etc) are on one or the other. And then I just downloaded anything that isn't.
