Just noticed that this dread above my ear is roughly 2" square I personally don't think it will get much bigger but I'm still a bit nervous.. what's everyone's thoughts based on the picture.

That's a strange question. I think you know it's silly. Your hair is insane. You should be very proud. Banjo's dreads were a lot like that. Actually they still are a bit, but you can now really see how most of the dreads have come together from those huge long tangles.

It's strange cause for instance the back of my head a 1" section makes a index finger sized dread but above my ear is like that. I like the size or it just wouldn't want a thick one around my ear I think it would be bothersome. I am very proud of my hair btw it's come along quite well . However I am still human and have my worries here and there unfortunately.

Mine are all different sizes. Some square ones at the base are flat dreads, some dreads made of a flat stretch of hair are round. It's all good. Once the length has knotted up it all just dreads itself from the root and all changes anyway. You're doing good.

My concern was how big the section was cause it's 2" X 2" cause I know bigger then 1" can lead to bigger dreads. And take long to dry.
But I think it shouldn't get much fatter :$ I hope lol.

I'm horrible with words lol sorry. I was wondering if hair around the ears is more thin. Cause then a 2" section isn't as big? It's hard to guess how "thick" the actual dread will be as I'm not experienced with dreading. I can only guess from my more mature ones and even those are young ones
