That's quite meditative. I love watching creative hands. I think it's an ASMR thing as a lot of channels have 'visual' stuff that's calming as well as audio. That's always a lot of hand movements etc. Nice to see more vids from you, Eve!

I'm finally determined to learn to play an instrument.. At least enough for a few songs. Hopefully I can use the mic I have and record some crap along the way. I'm still waiting on you james to re-record the rendition of 'believe' - my fave SP song, and you were doing so great ^^

Hey yall. These pictures aren't really things I'm 'working on' per se, but they involved art so I'm placing them in this thread. I just got back from hangin' with my sister and 3 kiddos. There is a bit of magic when you get to be a kid again.... feeding offa the energy and imagination of actual children is good for the soul (<hope that doesn't sound creepy. Ha! I just don't know any other way to express that particular idea). Anywho.... Aunt Kat got to hang with her nieces Allie (age 4), Moe (age 9), Madie (friend to Moe, age 9) and my sister Laura (let's just say she isn't young?) We played games and got a bit artsy. One game was for each of us to draw a cat in honor of an aunt Kat visit. They gave me an extra challenges, pulling out their cell phones to use the timer.... saying I only had 1 minute to complete the task. The other challenge was I couldn't look at an imagine of a cat and had to draw a cat which was in my head. (I seriously can't draw unless I'm looking at something, as for some reason the shit in ma noggin is all crap). This is what we came up with. (I didn't use the timer the kids BTW. I actually asked them to take their time). Next picture was the same challenges for me, but this time I had to draw Willy Wonka. This picture has my Willy Wonka at the top, then Moe wanted to draw a chocolate bar with 2 excited kids who just found out they won the golden ticket. Then the bottom image is Moe's version of Willy Wonka. The last two pictures are Moe's drawings. The first is a picture of Steve Jobs (as a fairy. Ha!) and a chick. This last one is a picture Moe did of me and ma dreadies. She made me sit very still and would hold her thumb up in front of me and shut one eye to make things authentic Lol!! I seriously love that child. She's awesomeness ♡ I really like how she captured the eyes. I swear I wasn't trippin'. Ha!

Omg Kat those are amazing! I love how unabashed kids are, especially with art. I chuckled at Steve jobs as a fairy... hehe. Sounds like fun!

I was surprised that a 9 year old knew who Steve Jobs was honestly. The fact that Moe enjoy drawing him as different fictional characters in her spare time kills me! Lol. She has a sketch book with Several Jobs drawings. In one he is wearing a pointy witch hat with a broomstick. In another one he has a unicorn horn! Lololol. I'd actually like to crawl inside her mind and live there. It's a magical place to be

I've been re-working an old 'Judge Dredd' fanzine strip of mine for my portfolio. The reason for the re-working is that I can't really include the original pages as I was required to draw them a particular way that doesn't really make sense without the lettering and hinders the art on it's own, but there are a few ideas in there that I really like and wanted to include. Below are the first two pages redrawn, compared against the original two below. As well as bringing the art more in line with my new style, I've also expanded upon the ideas of the second page to make it more visually interesting as a stand-alone. In other words, I'm not as worried about the overall story as I would be if I were drawing it for that purpose... I want pages that will look good on their own. I decided not to show the gunfight in the new page because the idea is that Dredd is supposed to get past them with no problems whatsoever. That's why he is drawn so huge and menacing on the page and they're quite small and non-threatening in comparison.... it felt a little unnecessary to have the big shooting scene in there, so I also used the "STOP" sign as a visual metaphor for what they were intending versus how it went down (the sign itself blown to smithereens). I think the page does a much better job of establishing the location and that a barrier has been set up, too. So yeah, that's just a little arty ramble for any of you that might be interested in the thinking process behind it all.

You're so talented Paul! I like the contrast more in the new pages.

I've been listening to Jimi Hendrix all night.... so thought I'd try to draw him. It looks more like Rick James (that's me being far too kind. Ha). I think I'll listen to Rick James next and might come up with a drawing of Eddie Murphy. Fingers crossed Lol
