Cool... a lot of the dialogue comes right out of it.
(though I should warn you that Daryl doesn't exist in them, save any disappointment ;p )

yeah yeah, no Daryl (Daryl's the ...hmm well, I don't use that language if I can help it but...he's like really freaking awesome! The actor (oh yeah, Reedus)/that character was my obsession right before I really discovered MCR, which was just last year...and here I go rambling again!) --------------------------------------------------------------- April 28, 2016 Think I'll put "Piano Player" (though it is fantastic) on hold and check this one out. "About a Boy" -Nick Hornby yeah, my forum friend wrote this about it. "The story takes place in the 1990s, and it would be quite different if it were set today (who are the 2010s equivalent of Nirvana?!)...." 1990s? Nirvana? that's enough for me!

I'm halfway through A Potter's Book by Bernard Leach, one of the classic books on studio pottery, and I'm starting The Time Traveller's Guide to Medieval England by Ian Mortimer.

Finished!!!! Yay! (last comment here on this, I swear! But that was probably the longest I've ever taken to finish a book so I'm like just so relieved to be done, and happy to say, impressed by the ending too!) -Player Piano by Vonnegut XD

I am currently reading The Girl With All The Gifts, by M.R. Carey. Then I am going to read Night Circus, which has been on my list for a while.

I finished 'Hallucinations' yesterday. Started a new Philip K Dick book, 'The Penultimate Truth'. Might re-read VALIS soon...

The Oliver Sacks books I'd recommended to you were "The Man Who Mistook His Wife For a Hat" and "Hallucinations".
If you want a bit of fiction then there are some great Philip K Dick books I've read in the last few tears... A Scanner Darkly would probably be my top.

I think I need a bit of "light" reading for now so I'll check out the fiction first.

Well, I don't know if 'A Scanner Darkly' is really "light" reading ha.... as with all Philip K Dick books, it's a bit of a mind-fuck.
I'd actually recommend the first 'Red Dwarf' novel, "Infinity Welcomes Careful Drivers". It's a lot more in-depth than the series and I'd honestly put it up there with 'Hitchiker's Guide...'

I'm reading Stephen King's Dark Tower series. I've just started the last one. I'm not sure why I waited to long to read it. I think it just felt like a big commitment when I wasn't sure if I'd like it or not...I think Stephen King can be a bit hit or miss but I'm loving this series.

I re-read this. James Herbert - the magic Cottage. I liked it because I grew up in an old magic cottage and read witchcraft too in my youth. The imagery of the environment is a great world in my mind, and the horror.

Great cover.
I'm reading a long book right now called 'The Knife of Never Letting Go'. I was a bit apprehensive as I didn't realise it was aimed at "young adults" (I saw it recommended on a horror list) and that really put me off but I'm glad I decided to read it as it's enjoyable.
I've slowed down on the reading of late. I'm still on my 13th of the year but that's only because I read like 8 in the first few months lol.
