I suppose it depends on the type of spider. We don't get poisonous ones here in the UK, and I've always been inclined to leave them be. House spiders mean less flies, and I usually give the big ones names.

I was sat on the grass one time and something wiggled over may hand making me flinch. Anyway it was a spider carrying it's egg sac which it dropped and ran off down the garden. I felt bad and carefully picked up the egg sac, found the spider and handed it back. It actually reached up and grabbed it from me. That was ace.

so...so, sorry but I already had swept them up I can't tell what type of spider it was as they go into hiding in the daytime. Haha spiders on the outside don't seem to deter the flies that get in my house tho! ughhh Did you see my big one in the random photos saralcat ?? was all colorful too. He could have been poisonous! But i think they're more show and less bite...or something. haha didn't name him, just took pics!

I remember a big banana spider spinning a web across my former mother in law's kitchen window in Texas. That was a big bugger. Mostly legs though. Some of the house spiders I spot round here are almost as big.
I've always found them quite fascinating myself, and I'm getting more relaxed about picking up the larger ones in my bare hands.

You're brave saralcat! Idk if I've ever really held a spider bare handed! It's more because I just don't know which might be dangerous and which might not be. I'd still like to meet a tarantula (again). The only time I did, well I was too little haha and of course my folks were afraid for me. *rolls eyes heehee I think I held a snake once (in a museum)! Again though, I'm afraid of the loose ones in the yard because I don't know...just don't know. we need some more questions!!! Not that this hasn't been fun!

Stop worrying and trying to please everyone. Just because she's friendly with everyone else, doesn't mean she has to be friendly with you and vice versa. Just ignore it and go on with life. There will always be people in life who dislike you, so dont get hung up on it.

I agree with Dave. If it's really bothering you you could send a PM but if not, then let it go.
The likelihood is that person has seen this message anyway and will know it's about them, so whether you care or not, you've cared enough to speak about it publicly, you know?
