Random pic of me when I was about 3 years old, even then I guess I wanted locks ;-) (*edit ..this was in the 70's, notice how I rock the 70's groovy gear LOL..) Attachment Deleted

Oh shit. Think I might have gone a bit Over the Top. Put the hippy bits back on!!! I think this is a great look. My hair is still pretty short, I'm growing it out so I can form my dreads. But I intend to keep my sidecuts/undercut. I cut my own hair too. Do you have a guard on your clippers? I always use I guard so that I don't accidentally shave off too much hair. I'm hoping this will also help prevent destroying my dread roots once they are formed.

MOAR BIRDS Little grebe The first ducklings hatched at work! OMG. Kez, I feel like you and I are meant to be friends. Two bird loving, hair coloring, dread-toting ( well, soon to be dread toting) girls. And you are from Northern Ireland, which is where my ancestors are from and I've had the great pleasure of visiting.

Mixed some purple in with the blue. Oh my gosh! These are magical! I want blue dreads. In your experience, how well does your color stay in your dreads? Is it hard to get the color even through them?
