These are so weird tho ((I accidentally posted this to the imgur community and got so much hate lol!)) Hehe... These dreads are solid. They will usually start compressing down from there. Those knots and loops get sucked into the dread and later you won't be able to see them as easily. I like that gnarled look and miss it!

My dreads were only a week old here but it's still my favorite dread picture. Hoping to take the same picture in a few months when I hit my two year dread anniversary!

The sea looks gorgeous. Great photo! A tall friend took a photo of the top of my head. This is generally how I have it when I need it to look neat and out of the way. Several braids wrapped around each other and pinned in place. I'd been pulling hats on and off that afternoon, so it was a bit wispy by this stage. ETA.. I've just realised the last photo I posted was similar to this, but this is an angle that's usually hard for me to photo by myself, and not one I normally see. It's a combination of five braids. The one at the centre is the crown section of my hair, braided, then tied in a knot. Sometimes I'll stick a hair stick through to hold it, this time I needed less obtrusive hair pins. I divide the rest of my hair in four sections, two above, two below, braid the top two, wrap and pin in place, then the bottom two. It holds up really well.

It resembled vines twisting together.

Used a hd filter to manage to show my progress so far! also starting to let a few small ones congo. Hair is fully sectioned now patience paid off only a few hairs on the hairline are loose now only problem iv had as of late is some of the older ones are dreading close to the root and have a pulling feeling.

Oh man acidburn that's looking awesome! How long into the journey are you? I think I'm finally at peace with my slow progress. Took this today in the car on the way to the zoo! I still don't think they are even noticeable, but there is progress there..
