I think you're talking about the general expectations of society and the more common standards of "beauty". Those things really get drilled into us from an early age, what beautiful is supposed to look like. Who is to say messy/short/knotted hair isn't just as beautiful as long straight hair? Its a cultural expectation and deviating from that for whatever reason can be challenging. It's like we have to defend these choices simply because it is different than what most people are used to seeing.
I've always found locks beautiful, even before I ever considered wearing them. I'd be that creep when I'd see a dread head out in public trying to check out his/her hair...lol. Anyways... Yes, you are gorgeous. I hope you can learn to feel beautiful in your crazy hair state ❤️

haha arose you made me smile! I'd be that creep too! It's rare to find Caucasian dreadheads around here though...actually...idk if I MYSELF have even seen one!...here...so I'm still kindof a creep, keep lookin'! haha edit: Oh dear! I ONLY say this, because I'm obviously (well, maybe not obviously) but I'm caucasian...and it'd just be really nice to pick the brain of/and see UP CLOSE...and well, someone who might have gone neglect too...if I weren't shy. Well,...we'll come to that when we come to the situation.
