I remember the first time I had my dreadlocks done 12 years ago.I was 25 years old at the time and knew I liked dreadlocks. It was one day I decided to have them done and did find a friendly hair and beauty shop that does them.Walked in and never looked back.It was great experience right away and I sat there not moving at all.The results was the most exciting part and loved the results seeing it in the mirrior. Then the care instructions were discussed and found they were simple to do.After a month after I had it done, loved them more and was attached to them.Knew I was never going to get rid of the dreadlocks after that.I still love them to this day.My family calls me the dreadhead daughter and sister to this day.I have 3 younger sisters and they said I looked great right away seeing them for the first time.My mom looked at me first and I looked good with them.My dad whom passed away this year said I found something about me finally and told him that is true.I have 2 adult sons whom are now 21 and 18 years old,say I am a cool mom to this day and see I am happy having them.

Nice heidij4!!! The first time I had dreadlocks was in 1987, I was 17 almost 18. Mom dealt with it, dad hated 'em. People looked on with curiosity at best and downright disgust at worse...hehe. I have loved 'em since because I could wear my hair long where it went down, instead of a fro that went up and out.
