My newbie locs are a week old today. Yay they mad it a week. Anyway I'm a custom to the TnR process. I havent this week an probably won't. My first set of dreads I had a friend of mine told me that he sprays lemon juice and a water mixture in his hair while going through the TnR process when he get his twisted. So during my first journey I did the same thing. When I TnR the set I have now I twisted them clamped an let them dry. Now I wanna make my own mixture of lemon juice and water, but reading thorough some of the discussion I've seen salt water pop up as being helpful to. So with all of that being said which is better just the lemon juice an water mixture r would it be more helpful to add the salt also. Pic of the week old newbie's below. 😀😀😀. Short dreads an sell loving it 😎😎😎😎

I used to use lemon juice to lighten my hair... if you're going to be in the sun and aren't trying to lighten your hair I would probably skip the lemon. I have also used aloe vera to help tighten, and Himalayan Pink Salt and water (and sometimes I mix all 3). However, these are all optional and most of the time I just keep my scalp as low oil as possible let my dreads do their thing.
