Hi Grant. I've been here far too long and never joined another community. You'll always have friends here.

Welcome gingerdreadman.... sorry to tell you but james and I are both older than you so you may, in fact, be the young blood.

We also do have quite a large American side of the community, but most have been absent since the old website started having problems... hopefully that will change when the main URL switches to this page in a few weeks.

Thanks james and Paul!
Irie- i have a bit of a problem. I dont really drink much usually one a night but that is only a few times a week. I am obsessed with Belgian beers and Trappist in particular. I recently purchased a box of beers I cant find here and had them shipped from Belgium. (Ouch on the shipping but at the door in 14 days and i have now had a westy 12!) i live in wv and we dont get a great selection of beer in the state. Luckily i am on the ohio border and they do much better. Whenever traveling i always look for beers i haven't had and local microbreweries. I dont often have beers over and over again because I am always trying new ones. So as none of that was your question. Haha
Maybe narrow down a style and i can throw a name out. I like about every style except pilsner, most lagers, and anything with "light" in the name. Huge Ommegang and Dogfish fan.

Well ipa's I like a lot of DFH's. Hopslam was a tasty treat this year. Stouts I prefer them to pass the light bulb test. (If you can hold it against the light and you cant see any it is good to go) i like imperial stouts and and chocolate stouts. I think I saw you were out in Tx. So your brewery distribution will he a little different than us on the east coast. I have never seen any Ska brewing stuff. (Feel free to send any care packages my way!) If you havent had it please try "Ten Fiddy" by Oscar brewery out of CO. They recently just opened another location in NC. My beer from the other night. It is a local Ohio brewery. Pretty tasty.

Welcome to the fun Grant! Nice to see a fellow weightlifter on here! I too am socially introverted (social anxiety), have just always been a highly sensitive being... so I total relate to the "hesitancy" of large groups/crowds. Also,I just turned 32 and we are not "older folks" we are still very much young n kicking

Hello, I used to be on the old forum a lot too, but have been crazy busy with life lately.
My dreads are almost 15 months old!
I am a mom of 4 awesome kids, a scruffy dog and a heart melting cat. I am in school to be a midwife and I work as basically a personal assistant to the founder of a really cool coffee company in Seattle WA.
Welcome to all the new people I haven't met and hello to everyone else.

Hey dudes I'm Ri! I'm probably the only one here who no longer has dreads and doesn't have any plans in the near future to get them again! I'm definitely not new to either dreads or the forum! I joined the forum in 2009 when my dreads were 1.5 years old and I brushed them out about an year and a half ago! I had them for nearly 8 years I think! I miss them a lot but I don't feel as though I need them back just yet...
Anyhoos, I'm 29 (!) and live in York, UK. I'm currently on maternity leave but I won't be going back to my job, seeing as it's in London! So I guess I'm a stay at home mum to my 4.5 month old boy Leo (aka Beeb, The Beeb or Beebage) who I like to think of as an honorary member of the DT fam!
