I don't think it's that unusual to be told you don't look your age, people always tell me I look younger and I couldn't believe James was in his thirties when I first met him. I just usually say "oh, thanks" or something.

If you misinterpreted or misread then I apologise - you said it bothered you when people said you don't look your age so I was reassuring you that it's not that unusual a thing to hear. There was no other intended meaning, if you read anything else into it.
Here's a question that bugs me, usually from relatives, "when are you going to have kids?"

Ha Ha I get both of those! I don't look my age, in fact my husband actually asked for my id when we met! The only time it really bothers me is when someone comments that I couldn't possibly know something because I look so young. As for the kids thing, I have been getting that question for years! It really slowed down when I had a break down in the middle of a restaurant! Showed them! I was screaming and yelling, I may have actually made people leave the restaurant. I'm not quite sure how the waitress calmed me down but she did I also don't know why I flew off the handle so bad but now no one really asks me.
The question that bugs me the most is "Why don't you just do (blank)?" as if the answer to whatever issue I'm having is just so simple. For example, we are in the middle of a flea outbreak and it is very well known that I don't approve of pesticides. The question the girl at work asks me is well why don't you just use zodiak? (a pesticide cocktail for fleas). FACEPALM!

There are so many things to do... Inside: Lego, Model building, Science experiments, board games Outside: Look for bugs, remote control cars, ride bikes Still not sure you can get some ideas from here: www.mastermindtoys.com/8yrs.aspxBy the way there is no crazy things going on with Pokemon Go, that is all media hype. There have only been a few idiots who have done stupid things, but the idiots always get the attention. I started the game thinking it was going to be stupid, but it turned out I loved it. I'm now walking 10km a day without realizing it, before I struggled to get to 4km. My goal is to be able to do 25k a day. The game that Le Remy was referring to is called Ingress.

Why don't you take him into a shop and give him the money and ask him to choose something from you!

Believe me these are all normal thoughts. There is an illusion that everybody is having a better life than you. Social media has made it worse for those of us more introverted to feel we're all missing out. I know you all have better lives than me. But that's my perception. Although being on your own without talking to anyone for days on end does suck. I don't think I've spoken a word all day except 'thanks', when I bought a loaf of bread an hour ago. Proper adults eventually dislike everybody, talking their shit, and boasting about their children and telling you of fantastic holidays. I'm in one way always trying to make friends, yet I actually know I don't want to know them. When you're kids you just need somebody who shares your interest in head butting trees, or poking ants nests, or computer games whatever. Nobody wants to poke an ants nest now, they're too busy... Talking about themselves. Besides we know what happens if you poke an ants nest, they crawl up the stick and bite you. So you have to do new hobbies and interest to meet people. Unfortunately there are people there!
