I just found a few spots of this while combing out a few ends... Is this lint or mold? I always make sure they're dry after I shower! If it is mold, what do I do??

Nothing smells, when wet or dry, if that makes a difference

I was going to ask that. It LOOKS like lint to me, now it sounds like lint, but ...(omg, I have been here too long, I have this push to make a joke, but I will fight it. Haha funny people, funny times) but seriously, IMHO I think it is fine. But I have never had mold.

I honestly don't even know what mold in dreads looks like >.< I feel like it would be in the thicker places of my dreads if it was mold, and all this stuff I've found was in the loopy thin spots. I might do a vinegar soak or something just to be sure though

The easiest way to dread is to let it go. The hardest way to dread is to let it go.

I combed out the tips of the bottom ones and redid them, I thought it would look better but it looks terrible and now there's nothing I can do about it. I'm just trying not to freak out and not touch them anymore. I wish I hadn't messed with them to begin with

It'll be okay. It really will. Let it go and trust they'll come together, because they will. Your hair is gonna do what it wants, which is dread. I checked out your timeline and your hair dreads VERY beautifully. It'll just take some time, but that's cool because what else are you gonna do? You love having dreads, so you just have to let go and let it be. I know it sucks right now, though, but I also think it'll turn out just fine. My hair is falling apart right now, and I look kinda ridiculous. But that's the process and one day we'll look back and laugh about it. And our experience will help others who feel like we do right now. So, don't give up! It'll sort itself.

Thank you <3 I think I'm just having one of those days where I acted impulsively and am now overreacting. Because I just took some time to chill out and try to think about it rationally, and it's really not a big deal, it just seems like one when I'm already emotionally fried. Anyway, thank you again for the encouragement and for listening to my little rant
