So. I am already very sick of having "normal" hair and it has only been a little over 2 months since my comb and cut. I definitely think I made a dumb post-partum decision. I am going to start freeforming again. I'm not sure how will it'll work or how long it will take this time since my hair is pretty short now. Any advice on starting with short hair?? Maybe I'll get lucky and it won't shrink this time Adding a pic of my hair now. It's wavy/curly so it looks shorter than it really is when wet/straightened.

P.s. My husband is going to HATE ME since I had him waste his time helping me comb out lololol.

You all come back eventually bwahahaha....
If you're going neglect then the same advice as always applies, just keep it clean and stay on top of separating. I will say I had virtually no shrinkage when I dreaded my hair from a short length but yours is a few inches longer so you may get a bit.

Honestly, I knew the moment I started chopping them off that I had done something stupid. But once I started, I couldn't stop. And yeah, I did notice that almost everyone I know that had dreads at one point almost always goes back to dreads !

Yay!! Welcome back!!! I've boomeranged within a month after cutting a set...hehe. No regrets, it's always good to start fresh.

When I thought about my journey I thought about some really bad stuff that went on within the first year and I needed to be done with those thoughts. Now I can start fresh and with a clear mind

Welcome back! Your hair does look amazing though, just saying...but it looks great in dreads too! And clearly I understand the desire for dreads. ^^

nice I was liking your timeline just yesterday actually. I would say think smaller sections initially, they can always be combined later.
