Iam new to dreadlocks, so i just saw youtube videos for home made shampoo for dreadlocks made from baking powder and water, as well as, a home made gel accelerator to make your dreads lock faster(alternative for sea water)
so should i use them?

Lol. Don't use baking 'powder'. You'll turn the dreads into a cake. That's why is best its distinguished as bicarbonate of soda, rather than baking soda, next to the baking powder in the shops.
Bicarbonate of soda is a great cleaning agent and cleanser. Baking powder is flour and yeast and stuff. You don't want that in your hair.
