So I just started my dreads a few days ago by a combo or twist and rip, backcombing and sadly crochet. They started off looking sad and limp and since getting them wet a washing every few days they are getting loopy and bumpy. I worry that I get them wet too often and am "messing them up" which sounds stupid as I text it. I was just hoping to hear they are doing exactly what they are supposed to do.

Don't obsess over them. Let them grow.

The easiest way to dread is to let it go. The hardest way to dread is to let it go.

Check out the "Timelines" section. You'll see that's just the natural progression.
