Hey guys, I'm new here I've been lurking for a while, and finally decided to register. this is my first post so if I created this thread in wrong place or something, please tell me Anyways... I just saw this photo of a plug (for stretched lobes) in a dreadlock! It looks pretty cool, but I can't imagine this to be too healthy for your dreads. Looks like it would create a weak spot and prevent it from locking up properly... Does anyone here have any experience with this? I love the look of that. Im still cautious about just wrapping and/or placing beads...

Wow...cool idea. I'll have to try it. I have a dread that has a good split like that.

I've been looking for a plug that looks like an eye for one of my dreads with a split in it. I used to have a colorful fimo clay plug in it but I took it off once when coloring my hair and lost it. It works good unless you want the hole to close.

In the comments she says that she attached extenstions to her dreads, and placed the plug in the ends she first combed out, then backcombed, then placed the plug, I guess crocheted the dread, and then she sewed it in place before braiding the ends of her extensions. Or something like that I don't really get it haha. Let me know how it worked if you tried it I'm really curious, but my dreads are still so young and none of them have a gap, and I don't really want to encourage gaps forming. tangerina, Crazy Factory has a huge selection of plugs, and if you can't find one you like there, try etsy, you can find anything there or just have one custom made.
