Hi all.. When I started my dread journey we didn't have cameras on our phones unfortunately. A number of these are old scanned photos and I'm missing some years here and there. I wish I had more close ups and such but either way, I hope you enjoy. First set 1987 - 19921987...whoa!! More fro than dreads. This set was natural and at this point it was starting to knot up. Late 1987, locks starting to come together. Spring of 1988: I was pulling 'em apart around this time... Summer of 1989 Fall of 1989... Can't find one from 1990... 1991: I did the short in front, long in back thing, with shaved sides... Early 1992: Pearl Jam was big...hehe... Late 1992: The mullet, right before I cut it all off... After that, I swore off mullets for good. Second set 1993 - 19961993: The non-dread JxBx didn't last long, so I started over with a twist and rip. Early 1994 Late 1994 Late 1995: I trimmed 'er up to the collar 1996: My dog's not a puppy anymore I ended up cutting the 1993-1996 because I lived in a hot, humid, and wet area and it seemed like my dreads just never dried. Third set 2000 - 20032000 - 2003: Only picture I can find for now: Fourth set 2008 - presentWinter 2008: Went with twist and rip again. 2009: Summer 2009 2010: Can't find one for 2010, probably with the 2000-2003 pictures!!! :-D 2011 Showing some gray 2012 Black-n-Gray! 2013: My favorite length 2014: At play with my son...hehe...his face... 2015: April Back shot... In motion: Dread cut - 06/01/15 Dread growth from 6/1/2015 to 6/1/2016: I hope you all enjoy! Thanks for looking!!

Yay! I love how your dreads have changed with time and with your life. It really shows that trimming, starting a new set, or experimenting with locs is a great and ever-evolving process.

They gained a good bit since the trim. Getting the 'butt ticklers' back as you say. (I think both my shoulders are as wide as one of yours )

I'm thinking I might go mid-shoulder blade / above the nipple next time I cut. My shoulders: I think my lats are disproportionate to my body size...hehe.

I wouldn't even know what a 'lat', was? I think I'd have to order some masculine muscles online to have any. There are a bunch of cool 'updo's' you can do with your hair at that length. Like a dread turban to keep out the guitar strings and child sick. Always half regret half joy with a trim. Either way, looking very cool man.

Lats = latissimus dorsi (I had to look up the Latin word) Updo's are indeed a good way to go short w/o cutting. I'll make a point to utilize 'em more this summer.
