Looking good Thanks Maybe you can answer a question for me. Does the vinegar rinse lead to less or more oily hair? And will it loosen or tighten any formed knots? After the salt spray, my hair is slightly oily still. though more tangled and a bit curled. I have a good residue free shampoo, but it tends to leave my hair too soft and manageable.

I can't answer anything about using vinegar as I find the stuff revolting I use bicarb with a lemon juice rinse. I believe the vinegar is meant to restore the ph after a bicarb wash. At the start I would wash my hair with a residue free shampoo followed by a salt water spray.

the salt water won't remove oils. Morri is right the vinegar just restores the pH of your hair (our bodies are slightly acidic). if your hair feels oily I'd just wash it but gradually start to space the washings i.e. every other day for a week or so then to every third day for another week or two then, and so on as you scalp creates adjust to you not stripping all the sebum (natural oils) away and naturally produce less and less with time. and the hairs will loosen and tighten each day. think of a cat pacing in circles before it lays down. hairs do that too they just take a long time to get comfortable

It has gotten a great deal more frizzy and tangled, since I used the salt water spray. What effect does the vinegar have on the dreading process specifically? At this stage, before any real formation has begun, will vinegar inhibit, or promote the process?

This is how massively frizzy it has become after the salt water spray. Still a bit oily, and shrunk a few inches in length

vinegar would help or hinder the dreading process as far as I know.

Cool man...they'll get there! You can only do three attachments per post, but if you put your photos on a photo sharing site and then link them you can add/link as many as you'd like per post.
