I had my dreads placed in a "salon" and noticed I have much more loose hair at the ends. Over an inch on some. Overall my hair looks more like a thick curly mess than dreads. I even had someone ask if I was "letting them fall out". (Wish I could post a pic but can't figure out to add attachment from I phone) I'm thinking I need a return trip to the salon to tighten things up but wanted to get your opinions first. Any thoughts??

Hi Becca! Were they backcombed? Knots do slip, it's part of the process. I would hang in there. Mine felt like they were falling out before they tightened up, it's pretty normal. Just keep them separated.

When did you start? Did I miss it? I am starting some new partials and it is so hard to leave them, yet I wantto do these neglect. I did my first wash today, and they justbarely hung in...but they did and yours will do. We shall do this together yo!

These are back comb and twist and rip. I have had them for 2 months now.

I wouldn't go back to the salon if I were you it will do more bad than good. They are still extremely young just give them time

Mine completely fell out at month 6. Don't panic, just let them do their thing!

Just hang in there! I'm sure it's a little off-putting but it's part of the process. It's actually a sign of progress even though it doesn't seem like it. Your curly hair will lock up really quickly!
