I'm working on mine now. So far I've only done underneath hair but it's getting time to do some around my face. My question is, do you section in the way your hair naturally falls? I have long hair, all one length that naturally parts to the left.. Go with that or will they go where ever they want no matter what?? Thanks for the help, j

They will go where they want to go, for sure, but your natural flow will also play a part. So I'd say try follow the natural direction where it's possible and don't worry too much if you can't... as said, the dreads will sort themselves out if it's not right.
One lesson you learn very quickly with locks is that it's a battle you won't win, to try make them do anything other than what they will. ;p

Dreads sound a lot like children, they will embarrass you in public any chance they get!! Thanks again! Dreadlocktruth,

Ha ha they will do what they please... the dreads I mean... well probably the kids to... I started out with nice part on the one side and they have decided they didn't like that so they did what they wanted and after constantly fighting with them and loosing we comprimised, when I wear them down I put on a scarf/ headband/ bandanna and no one can tell there was suppose to be a part there. As a bonus it keeps them out of my face and hides my straying roots.
