RadioLab is great! I don't have any experience with any kind of psychedelic drugs but I'm a fan of the 'stoned ape' theory of the evolution of our consciousness towards creative expression... From what I've read, the significantly positive affects of LSD etc have been known for a long time.

Me neither. I can't even handle pot. (There goes another deadlock stereotype out the window! And I even live in Boulder, CO.) But, I do find this brain sciency stuff fascinating.

That talk was rather interesting, thanks for sharing. I share a lot of the same views and my experiences have been similar. It's good that we are now allowing more open research on these types of substances. It's well overdue.
