Thought I'd share some of my current work frustration with you all.... I have a client who gave me a brief with lots of detail and specific scene descriptions of what they want me to draw, and they're complaining that a lot of those elements aren't clear enough in the roughs I produced for them. With that in mind, this is literally the size of the artwork spaces, to print.

Yaaay one of my favourite threads!
Ughhh I feel your frustration. I used to work for a big newspaper doing mostly ads and sometimes people wanted a novel printed on a postage stamp sized ad space. And then they complained why did I make it so crowded..

lol, some people.
I feel like I'm really getting good at what I do now. Not only is my latest track probably the best-sounding thing I've produced, but a client didn't want any revisions done to the last mixing job I did. It was a nice little confidence booster.

Working on a new, large 'Hannibal' drawing. It's going to be a while before it's all done and he's quite small in the image on the page, but I just finished drawing that part so I'll stick it here...

Cheers... here's an update. This is basically just the bottom half of the image.

You're both too kind. Update time.. this is just a mock-up with what I have so far but it should give an idea of the final image.... I probably won't go with the 'Hannibal' text but will keep the quote as that swuare looks a bit empty without. Obviously I still have lots of the chapel at the top to finish.... I'm also tempted to add reflections of other characters in the glass (this is Hannibal Lecter [as portrayed by Mads Mikkelsen] in his prison cell, if you can't tell) though it depends if it over-crowds the image or not. Also, if anyone's interested in how the process, this is the "rough" version of the image I created beforehand!

Finished! I actually did two versions in the end because I liked the one without reflections, too.

Amazing Paul!! I love how detailed it is.
I really want to whip out my oil paints but I don't really have anything to paint on or any oil painting brushes here.

The overwhelming need to paint took over and I whipped out my acrylics: Not sure if I will continue tomorrow when it's dried a bit but I definitely will paint some more. I haven't really painted anything in 5 years and it felt super good to do it again.

Oh, it's working now! Looks AWESOME!
I don't know if you're planning to add more structure or leave it as is but I love the scratchyness of how the paint is applied.
