I don't like eating in front of people so I had my dinner on the train going in.... Nothing fancy, just sandwiches and some prawn cocktail flavoured crisps. Don't think I even managed to eat it, with the nerves.

Vegetarians don't care. Eat what you like. It's all good. We just see the animals face looking sad. Yes meat is good, fine. Do what you like. Nobody is here to judge. Yes other folk enjoyed meat. I hunted the rabbits. im sorry! i overlooked this! lol the rabbits! you are awful! lol I wasn't asking if you all cared, i mean i wasn't trying to just say that. i get that you all accept one another....ok, but so maybe i just misheard that. Here is probably the consensus. basically, just be courteous and decide based on situations (so you don't HAVE to read it) honestly, hubby and i feel this way too, because we are very particular about our meat, so we are like in between everything...confusing veggies and meat-eaters alike! www.thekitchn.com/vegetarian-etiquette-the-dinne-114459

We were all pretty much grabbing food as and when we were hungry, so ettiquette sort of flew out of the window. All very relaxed and easy going

Sorry I haven't popped in sooner guys. What a wonderful day we had, I can hardly believe it was a week and a half ago. It was so great meeting everyone after so long and doubly great meeting Gillian and Lauren as well, after seeing their adventures on Facebook in recent months. Again, I hang my head in shame for dropping a small proportion of the Whoppers. I disposed of the rest of them in the correct Manner though. I didn't take many pics, I'll have to have a look at what I've got. I second what Paul said about making a camp happen!

you worry too much! i guess i used to be like that, but now i do my business like a baby (carefree ) But, you folks haven't heard of this? It IS very possible i messed up this quote...now THAT would cause me anxiety! but...idk. what's said is done and what's done is done. (ok, this is the kindof anxiety i face. less food stuff, more social eeek! ) "we're in this together now" suddenly comes to mind. hmm ^^ (forgive me if i made another faux pas) forgot to say, that sounds delicious too! Dreadlocktruth idk if you were still around when i put this. You really dont have to reply. Im kindof embarrassed by it, by everything...no, idk. Wow just adjusting. ...well bye The thing about everyone eating vegetarian if a certain number at the group are is a new one to me (and I can't imagine it'd go down too well here, anyway - there's still a lot of stigma about not eating meat!) but I could see it maybe being the "polite" thing to do in other cultures. So it may not be that you got it wrong, just that it's not the case here. Speaking of which, Gillian's friend Lauren was a little uncomfortable because in the States apparently it's normal to "tip" the bar staff when you're out drinking and I had to keep reassuring her that it's not expected here, as she felt bad not giving them anything lol.

It took me a while to get out of that mindset when I moved back to the UK.... but they served me a drink, must tip... No having to try to calculate how much sales tax would be added to an item you were buying anymore either.
Camp!

I used to wonder why folk at bars in American movies never waited for their change. It's funny how we wait for our 1 pence back in change. (On that note the new plastic £5 note is out tomorrow- can't wait to stick one in the washing machine.)
