Well Charlie can't fly and he's so attached to me that he never goes to anyone else. You can get him on your finger but he doesn't want to stay there for long lol.
I forget if I've posted this vid to you already or not so sorry if it's a repeat, but how can you be scared of this little fella heh.
(this is from 2012 btw)

Charlie's wings aren't clipped just FYI, he has french moult disease so he doesn't have fully-formed feathers.

Oh and sorry about your budge escaping! That must be very upsetting. very I won't lie I cried... ALOT. It was my first bird we were so attached. Poor thing did it take him long to trust you or was it an instant trust? I know birds can be pretty nervous.

budgie? that's what that means haha Awe! So many things to say! Nice voice! The accent was sortof how I imagined it, voice is different but I like it! yes, Charlie is one for attention! I am amazed at how he can talk wow! Like, I thought it was the tv (or telly? lol) at first. Um..hehe yeah He's very cute. Doesn't fly huh? Oh, that spontaneous chirp was cute too! Um, ok tbh, I missed a bit of what you said (just, not 100% use to following the British accent yet, but getting much better...uh...thanks to Benny Hill! omgsh, I swear I heard you say this, but I don't think you did. You were talking about some costume party.) Omgsh! So I like I was just thinking of the English actresses that I love (cuz I tend to prefer the non-American actresses...and British in particular. fact 30something. Kate Winslet and Rachel Weiss are my girl crushes (oh, there's more. I can't remember right now though) Um, but other than Benny Hill, I haven't really heard much male British actors speaking (I'm sure I'll realize it after I send this maybe, but idk.) So...oh, and well now I hear that "youngin'" girl from Harry Potter...love that voice....ok, but back to topic. Now I can say I've heard a true male British accent (or whatever.) ohhh yep! I take it back now!...ok, well, not exactly an actor (I think), but there's LazyDreads. lol Anyway, cool! And I like Charlie! But...did he like ever keep you up at night? How long have you had him?

More Zzz than Eee Ri Happy to talk birds in another space if people want to. I've made ornithology my career for many years but I'm no expert by any means

Erm... he was nervous for a day or two but he was like 12 weeks when we got him. I've worked from home the whole time I've had him so he's really tame as far as I go. Aaaw, yeah, pets can break your heart lol. There was a story here last year about a budgie that escaped and was found floating half a mile out to sea by a dive boat ... he was rescued and they managed to reunite him with his owners. Very lucky little bird!! www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/5791296/Sea-budgie-reunited-with-owner.html

@vacantalleyways people usually say they expect me to have a harsher voice, for some reason. ;p
He was actually fairly quiet in this video, because I was talking and he tends to listen... he's usually chatting away to himself for 95% of the time he's awake. I'd say he probably knows 70+ words.
Charlie's never noisy at night.... budgies tend to shut up when you throw their towel over the cage and turn the light off. I think I've had him for 6 years now.

More Zzz than Eee Ri Haha that'll probably confuse the Americans because they pronounce Z as "zee". --- BTW I realise I've completely hijacked this thread and taken it off-topic but, fuck it, I co-own the site. ;p
