Just one of those songs I played to warm up with one rehearsal and we've kept it...hehe. I'm going to use that method to "suggest" songs-to-play more often

Hey - I would love to see a photo of your pedal boards! I just grabbed a pitch shifter and a 720 to loop. My boss rc-50 kicked the bucket and I couldn't justify putting out $300 for it.

It's still fun!!! I like to nerd out over pedals... Amp <- HBE Psilocybe (phase) <- Pareidolia (trem/phase/vibe-ish) <- WhammyV (pitch shifter) <-- Blunderbuss (fuzz) <- CAE (whammy) <- Guitars DD-500 (delay) in the loop. Pedal Tuner in the tuner, run on all the time. Hehe...I got loads of real estate. I'll probably end up pulling the Pareidolia and Psilocybe off. I'm not using them at all with the new repertoire. Whatcha using for pitch shifting? The EHX 720 looks like a lot of fun, simpler than the RC-50 no? That RC-50 is a monster! Post a pic of yours!!!

Thanks for sharing! So I lied and have the boss rc-20xl, which shouldn't have but gave me a warm tone ... I'm a little nervous now that it's been switched out. Any suggestions? This is the best photo I have of mine... Amp - peavey kb3 A/b switch to Volume pedal to behringer tuner (also on all the time) to mini screamer (distortion) to small stone (phase) to carbon copy (delay) to was the boss and now will be 720 (loop) to holy grail (reverb) to lr baggs para acoustic di I got the electro-harmonix pitchfork - probably putting that right before the 720. And then the ladies in my life in the background - my mum's violin that now has a lr baggs bridge pickup and my ns wav4. Yay pedals!!

Ooh I quite fancy trying some pedals out with violin but would have absolutely no idea where to begin. I tend towards the more primitive... The latest addition. Medieval style long shell drum, 13.5"x19". Has a lovely resonance and I'm looking forward to using it this season. It's having it's first public outing the weekend of the 23rd April at Newcastle Castle, who are putting on a big St George's day event.

Yeah, shoot...whenever I get something new/new-to-me thrown in the mix...I have to mess with it for a while to learn it, find out where it sounds best, and do the same at volume and how it sounds in the mix with the bassist or rest of the band if there other instrumentation. Fuzz is always a bitch, I like to get it's timbre right in relation to the bass. Hehe...probably why I haven't mixed it up in a while. Consider trying the pitchshifter between the distortion and phase, I say that just because I like to add delay to my pitchshifter/detune. I always ran a looper last or in the loop so I can record/dub everything on the board before it. I bet that volume pedal is crucial for ya, no volume knobs on the violin! So, I'm trying to figure out how you DI. It's last in the chain so does it split to the amp and also to the house?

I pulled both my HBE Psilocybe (phase) and Pareidolia (trem/phase/vibe-ish) off my board last night. I'm not finding a place for them at the moment and I'm kind of liking the stripped down sound again.
I might just pull off the wah and whammy and go:
guitar -> fuzz -> amp delay in the loop
It's been a while, but I've gone through phases of expansion and contraction. The music we're playing now calls for more straight up guitar than ambient/layered work...that or I need some different shit...hehe.

And I had no idea that my bassist did this and filmed me during practice. So this is my other band that I don't think anyone had heard.

I love how that sounds Gillian, really atmospheric! Thank you! We're a more ambient electronic project. It's a lot of fun. And I get to use my looper!
