So you actually combed out a 4 year old set??? Ahhh the patience. I cant imagine. I have always felt if i ever take them out ill be shaving my head. Do you trim yours yearly or so to keep them at shoulderish length? Or do they just grow on the slower side?
They look awesome by the way.

Thanks danzia lovetracee morrigingerdreadman I did indeed comb them out and it only took 4 hours (which must have been a fluke - it took two of us 18 hours to comb my exes set out of a similar length) but I'm afraid I can't take any credit for patience...... I'd combed all but two of them out and then got tired of doing it so just cut it all down to a few inches ha.

well, I had also break with mine dreads I had first set for almost 18 months, then due to itchiness and high possibility of having lice I cut them off... then I grew my hair again and new set reached 19 months week ago

Have You ever considered bleaching whole length?
Anyway, I saw on YouTube guy with similarly bleached dreads. On the other hand he started with light blonde on the whole length while dreading and didn't bleach them any more. His nickname is baggeeboy or something like that...

Thanks danzia and ohphob <3 kondzio I've bleached them higher up than this before and I don't like how it looks so I doubt I'd like it all done. Besides, I think the dark part of my hair brings out my eyes a bit more. Also... it would be a huge pain to have to bleach my whole head at this point ha.

definitely it looks more interesting having such mix Paul but it seems You regret a little bit doing it too high just a bit too much? if it's such pain, then I probably won't try any bleaching due to my sensitive scalp...

Oh no, it's as high as I want it to be - I mean, in the past, I've bleached it much higher than I ended up liking (like an inch or two from the scalp)
I have a sensitive scalp, too, I wouldn't touch the bleach if it went anywhere near.
