I understand my hair is naturally in the 4a-4b area so I'm not at all surprised its curly, but it shrank so much its above my shoulder and when I stretch it its down to my mid-upper back level. I literally finished putting them in at 11:50pm on Christmas eve so they are extremely new. It's not that I don't like curls I just wanna have more options and with straight locs you can always curl but you can straighten curly locs. Is there anyway I can straighten them or will they straighten overtime? I didn't use any wax, I used rosewater with a little bit of coconut in it. I sprayed a piece of hair before I twisted it and that's it. My locs are very small, in fact I should call them micro locs. They are about the size of a headphone wire where the wire splits (where they go into different buds), or a better example, the handle of a rat tail comb. So is there anything I can do? I'm afraid they are going to loc the way they are right now, and when they are curly they are bigger than how I made them.

I'd think it's because you made them so small, the baby locs are still trying to mimic your natural hair texture/type. I'd double them up. My husband and I both have naturally wavy hair but because of the size of our dreads, they are just straight.
