Short video , looking for feedback
Most have a "braided" look to them. Will this go away after a while ?
There is quite a lot of loose hair surrounding the dreads. Will this eventually lock into them ?
Should I tell her to continue ? This is her first ever time . I think it looks pretty cool.
Have always wanted dreads and had bad luck with freeforming, so hoping this would do the trick.

Thanks so much for your reply Amanda I'm happy about them, how long do you think it'll take the "braided" look to go away

It's really different with everyone mine took a little over a year but it really depends on how quickly your hair type dreads up..everyone has different texture so it's really just a waiting game..they will get there though, and they look kool af btw..

But I have a huge problem, the ones my gf did are more look and feel like braids , they are not coming apart but they are not frizzy... I can feel the "strands" of hair and pull them apart throughout...
As opposed to the few I did actually look frizzy and harder to pull apart ...
Should I remove all of hers and do ot myself or just let them be ??

U might want to if they have the braided look, she must have did twist and rip??When u do that method the key is to only twist once or twice anymore then that and u will get that braided look and they will dread but they will take alot longer..look up lazydreads on utube he has a video on how to do it and lots of great videos on how they can be cared for..

If you're not happy with the look now is the time to redo them. Which method did she use? It almost looks like she interlocked them.
Of course they will change over time but if your hair is as straight as mine it may take a few years.
