After a year 90% of my hair has locked naturally and is shoulder length. My loose hair is twice as long and can be very annoying. Right side of my bangs are almost matured while my left side is still straight. Would you advise against trimming a few inches of loose hair just to get a more uniform look for the moment?

Trimming it to the same length is fine it’s when you start cutting it off completely that you’ll have problems. So I’d say go for it. Alternatively, you could use a crochet hook to tie loose hair into its neighbouring dreads like thread.

Okay! I think I'll do a bit of both and hopefully I won't have to cut as much after I crochet. Thank you very much!!!

I'm glad I read this because the loose hairs have been driving me mad, I've been tempted by the scissors
