Just a random 'dream journal' type thread. I know not a person on the planet earth finds other people's dreams interesting but it can be useful to keep track of the weirder ones. Last night I had one of those that seem to overlay on the real world. I was just nodding off when I opened my eyes and saw, emerging from the far wall of my room, something that looked exactly like the monster from the 'Stranger Things 2' trailer. It seemed to be floating through the air, travelling from one wall to the other and I quickly jumped up as it glided past my bed and scrambled for my phone to turn on the torch light. The last I saw of it was a swarm of tentacles disappearing just before I shone the light around the room and then it took me probably a minute or two to convince myself I'd been dreaming, because I didn't feel like I'd fallen asleep. But I also do not believe it was something I was really seeing, either. It kinda felt like the "old hag syndrome" thing that I've never experienced, except my body wasn't paralysed.

Oh I love this! Unfortunately I've been forgetting mine lately. I'll try to remember and post before I forget in the morning. I love scary weird dreams like that! They are the best. Like your own personal movies in your head. 😊

I sometimes dream about things I have been thinking about or doing not long before I sleep. Last night I happened upon an instagram account for someone's dead pet. I somehow spent ten minutes going from one cute, dead pet account to another. I then dreamt that I was frantically (and unsuccessfully) trying to cross a busy room with an armful of floppy iguanas that I kept dropping all over the floor. It's was horrific, although hilarious once I woke up.

So I have crazy dreams all the time. I usually am in some childhood version of the home I grew up in distorted with secret rooms. Anyway to keep it short, I was looking outside at night into the garden and there was a tiger ferociously leaping around after other animals. And I was telling my family to come and look, it’s hidden behind the bushes. They didn’t see a thing. Then suddenly it came leaping towards me looking like half demon and smashed through the window into the house and as I fell backwards I also leapt out of bed and crashed half onto my floor with my heart beating like crazy as I gathered that this was reality and realised that was a dream. But I still had this dream like creepy crawlies hanging on, I don’t know if you get them when you suddenly wake from a deep dream. It’s like spiders and other world stuff shuffling around out of reality, but is maybe an optic effect. Sometimes I try to hold focus on them as they move around keeping half in the dream but then it all slips away and I’m back in a room.

My most recent dream was a kangaroo was trying to steal my egg and cress sandwich. I actually woke up kicking Coffey in his back.
I really wanted that sandwich.
