You know what I do for tattoo aftercare?
Not much at all beyond keeping it moisturized

Yea same here, bit of nappy rash cream when it itches or gets dry and apart from that leave them well alone, just keep them clean.

I always aquaphore it with a thin application as well as wash 2-4 times a day with antibacterial soap. After about 5 days switch to a decent moisturizing lotion.

Aquafor for the first 24 hours, then lotion. Yeah everyone has their own ways. Some ppl dry heal i have actually even wrapped in plastic wrap with nothing on it until any sign of peeling starts(around three days) . Change the plastic wrap and wash every three hours. That goes against all principles of first aid. But was the recommended method of my color guy. I have my entire leg from the knee down and treated all that way and not a single complication. I usually follow the artists recommendation because if they are good they know the best way to heal their work. The end result is a reflection of them. But i do have around 80 hours of work. So healing a tattoo is certainly not new to me.

My first tattoo after I have my baby will be Prince's symbol, "The Love Symbol". His death has hit me really hard, I've loved him since I was born. I'm excited to get it.

ohphob, (i know this wasnt directed to me but i can also answer, i guess!) my nipples didnt hurt to get done, really. kinda the standard 'well that kinda sucked' thing. Out of all my piercings i think it would rank like 4th out of 8 piercings. The healing was pretty tender and painful though. Seatbelts sucked and sleeping was pretty rough for a while. Make sure to wear a bra 24/7. You would think it'd make it worse, but it really does. I never really rank piercings on how bad they were to get, but what the healing was like after. It would be like third on the list, only because my conch and my tongue were absolutely horrible. My only mistake when I was getting my nipples pierced was that I ended up looking down after they had the needles in and were grabbing the jewelry and that freaked me out pretty bad. Mine never ended up healing right and I retired them recently. Hope that helps!

Currently I have four tattoos , ears have been pierced since I was 19 (42 now). I used to have an 8 gauge in my tounge for years, but stopped wearing it long ago. For sure would like many more tattoos, if budget allowed for them. My latest tattoo , done a couple years back : Attachment Deleted

Ive found that coconut oil clogs my skin so quickly. Its led to some serious heat rash with me... I also am allergic to the ink i was tattooed with so the heat rash and the allergic rash was just AWFUL. I sometimes still break out in random places because of the tattoo ink. I want to get more color tattoos but Im kind of afraid to. I dont know if it was just one brand of ink or just the color in general. Ive had a blue tattoo before and nothing happened with that one... Its hard because colors can be made with all different sorts of things so it can be really hard to avoid certain allergens in them.. Im sticking with just black ink tattoos for a while.

I've got 00g tunnels, two nose rings that look like a semicolon ; (stud on top, ring underneath), septum, philtrum, lower lip, nipples, and had two tongue rings I had to take out because I have geographic tongue. I have a few tattoos and should be getting my next in October! As for aftercare, just moisturing my tattoos, and sea salt soaks only when they seemed irritated. Otherwise, I just let them heal on their own.

Red has the highest incidence of allergic reactions I know and I got like the tiiiiiinest bit of red in my tattoo. I dont know if its enough to warrant the huuuuuge rash I got. I know green can also cause reactions and I did get a lot of green...
