I ended up with this today, got an appointment right after work. I realised tattooing is just pricking color into the skin with a needle I do like it through. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You'll have to take a pic when it's healed!

I second Danzia.
Straight on the forearm first tattoo! That is pure confidence there.

I second Danzia. Straight on the forearm first tattoo! That is pure confidence there. Yep yep, I'm going to do that. It will always look a bit different when it's healed. It took like 5 hours to get it done, I suppose that's good for a tattoo of this size (I don't really know). I've acually wanted to tattoo my hand, but was convinced to take a bit slower start.

I may have to retire my nipples too D: there been really pissed off over the past couple of weeks (despite being well over a year old). I also miss my daith that randomly fell out D: I'm considering trying to downsize my lobe as at 20mm and growing, its a little TOO noticeable.

Ok, this really isn't my thread to stay, but I have a question. I want to maintain the "gauge" of my earring. The standard piercing size of my day...doesnt seem like they make it anymore? Idk...but ok, I mean this is counterintuitive or something but I thought the bigger the hole, the smaller the gauge...perhaps this is a US thing? But there is also mm which obviously get bigger the higher the number duh! But like I just remember being like a 16, but by these standard, that is ridiculous because id be like idk 3mm? I really don't know. Maybe this isnt the place for my answer, but gingerdreadman, are you not in US?

I really don't know. Maybe this isnt the place for my answer, but gingerdreadman, are you not in US? Yes I am. But in the USA you go from a gauge size until a certain point then it turns to a fraction of an inch(basically after 00.) I would imagine the rest of the world probably just always uses mm as they use metric and we dont on everything else. So I had one ear pierced at like a 16g or 20g whatever was common for a gun at the mall at the time. I hadnt worn it in many years. So when i decided to stretch I went to a tattoo shop and had them pierced at an 8g. I then stretched to 9/16" (14.3mm) before taking them out while pursuing certain jobs. They shrunk up to about the size i started at (8g.) They cant really ever get smaller than that partially because I had stretched well past 00 which to many is kind of the point of no return, well at least not returning all the way. (That statement has a lot of variables according to skin type, speed of stretching, etc.) and partially because when u pierce at a large size like that you are removing a chunk of skin. That is why in my opinion I would never use a "punch" for a large gauge because there is no returning without plastic surgery. The skin is just gone. After a couple of years I decided to put them back in and they stretched back much quicker than when i initially stretched them. I am currently at 5/8" or 15.9mm which is the largest i have been.

gingerdreadman, This chart is fantastic! Thank you! Yeah, I know...like why did they change the gun!!! (one set is probably 16then, while the other is 20g) Not sure if the rest was to me. Kinda skimmed through it as I am not looking to increase my gauge...that like large chunking, for a lack of a better word (ha!), well that's interesting. I mean, I didn't realize you could do that! I've only heard of the stretching stuff. Yeah...it was...well...haha just not my thing now...plus, I'm a "lady". haha I know, I'd better start acting like one now. Anyway, thanks again!
