Right guys, here's the animation I'm working on. This is the first time I've properly attempted it so I'm happy with how it's coming out.... the whole clip will be about 7 minutes and this 10 seconds or so took me a day and a half so it actually shouldn't take me TOO long.
I'm just doing this as a surprise for the hosts of that podcast I'm on occasionally, and I won't be posting it anywhere else until it's done so please don't share this. It's just a work in progress.
I'll also be switching the audio channels so that the sound of the car is on the same side that it comes from etc as I think it being on the other side throws you a bit.
But yeah, this is fun!

Cool @macabremagpie, how long does it take just to get a clip like that put together? Im pretty clueless about most things graphic design wise, but I'd guess that takes a bit of work! __________________ Something I worked on and finished earlier. My first pair of DIY huarache sandals. Primarily meant for runners, I'll just be wearing them for walking though. Turned out comfier than I had expected. Hope to make a few more and tinker with different materials.

How do you make them? What materials do you use?
Paul - really really cool. I also find it so fascinating when artists have a very unique style and energy about their art. I could pick your art out in a giant stack. It's just really incredible.

How do you make them? What materials do you use? I did a lot of searching online yesterday (so many company's make these, just variations) and between almost almost buying a pair I found a tut on this website: www.diyfootwear.com/huarache-sandals/I used that for the for the main gist and the lacing/tying technique. For the sole, I traced my foot on paper, cut it out and used a gym workout pad (the ones that look like large square puzzle pieces) to trace my foot pattern. Cut that out and added the holes with a nail and used paracord for lacing. I think total I used like 5 or 6 things to make them: the foam pad, paracord (but you could use so many other things too), scissors, a nail, a knife (only used this the make a recessed circle on the underside of the toe hole so the knot in the cord would sit flush with the bottom).

I read that HippyFish, but some reason, I didn't realize you made those, wow! I don't think I could run in those either, but could definitely use these for everyday housewearing! These are not water resistant though, or are they? danzia, wow just absolutely love it! I know others who would too! Like I said, I like the words (kindof more of a wordart person myself tbh). I can't remember, did I ask...is this like a wall hanging? My gosh, like this seriously would be a good gift for someone I know! Omgsh, happy tears! (Didn't think it was that powerful until I started thinking. Awe! Lol)

Thank you so much! It's my cohorts class gift to the school we attend. We're social workers, hence the choice of words. I collaborated with another student who is the mosaic artist. Can't take credit for anything but the tiles! She's a really talented artist

danzia, that mosaic looks great! HippyFish, I've made a few of those as well. Some cobblers (is that the right word? People who fix shoes) sell sheets of different kinds of vibram as well. There are people who run ultramarathons on those... I'm not a runner, I just prefer to go barefoot when I can; the time of year is starting where I'll take my shoes off during a walk and go the rest of the way barefoot. In winter I wear shoes that are as 'minimalist' as possible, mostly Lem's.

danzia and @vacantalleyways No running for me (knee and foot issues), but they're great for just walking/everyday... feels like I'm wearing slippers. Crazy enough I saw some that are about 1/3 that thickness that people run in, yikes! For being waterproof, my best guess would be yes since they're just made from foam and paracord.

I can't walk in flip flops or thongs... I end up with toe cramps for whatever reason. I just can't imagine running in those!!! It makes my toes hurt to think about it

And danzia the mosaic is beautiful, the colors are soothing. Seems so intricate, what did you use for the tree outline? Looks like flat clay beads.

Omgsh! HippyFish,...I forgot foam was waterproof! Eh, but it will soak like a sponge maybe? But yeah, saw that close up image and have that exact board. Like, it is great for kneeling and sometimes for exercise, but I alsohave the yoga mats too.
